With the mobile TRT-Testing equipment Groenholland can conduct experiments on location on a borehole heat exchanger. This involves a heat and cold injection. The average thermal conductivity (W/m/K) can be determined from the thermal response of the ground source heat exchanger. Parallel to the experiment we can measure ground temperatures and can determine whether there is a groundwater flow. To design and construct a ground source system it is important to have the parameters on location. 

Over the past 25 years Groenholland has conducted more than a hundred TRT-experiments in the UK and continental Europe. Our own mobile TRT-unit allows us to act quickly and investigate every location with great accuracy!
